This workshop will explore the basic principles of Transformative Justice (TJ). The session will deepen the understanding of this complex and intimate model. This 101 will offer a basic introduction to and overview of the core concepts of TJ. It will be a space for participants to learn about TJ and how to begin thinking about community-based responses to interpersonal violence. Participants in this workshop will NOT leave with the skills to facilitate community accountability or TJ processes. This is an introductory workshop intended to expose participants to key concepts, definitions, and some basic examples.
