Ms. Crockett is a Senior Advisor for sexual assault prevention and response policy at the Department of Defense. Prior to this role, she led prevention policy for intimate partner violence and child abuse for the DoD Family Advocacy Program, serving active duty military and their partners and children. Prior to joining DoD, she held roles at the U.S. Departments of Justice, Health and Human Services, and the White House, advising on intimate partner and sexual violence policies and programs. She is a Truman National Security Fellow, and a Bloomberg American Health Initiative Fellow. Ms. Crockett’s research and policy commentary on gender-based violence have been published in Foreign Policy, the British Journal of Social Work, the Center for New American Security, the National Academy of Science, and other outlets.
