Speakers: Teresa Stafford-Wright, Hope and Healing Resource Center
This empowering session invites participants to explore the intersection of personal healing and professional leadership through the lens of Teresa Stafford’s inspiring journey from survivorship to leadership. Beginning her career as a victim advocate, Teresa used her lived experiences of overcoming incest, rape, and teen dating violence as a foundation to support and empower others. Today, she leads the Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center as the first person of color to hold this position in its 50+ year history, exemplifying how breaking systemic barriers can create opportunities for transformative change.
Through her journey, Teresa has cultivated a unique approach to leadership, blending trauma-informed practices, cultural responsiveness, and a deep commitment to systemic change. This session provides participants with tools and insights to channel their own experiences into leadership opportunities while fostering inclusive, survivor-centered environments in their communities and organizations.
