Sexual assault prevention initiatives and interventions to support survivors are essential for fostering safer communities. Inclusive and equitable evaluation activities are equally as essential, giving us the necessary information to determine if our prevention efforts are successful and what changes we need to make to improve them.
This session explores the critical value of evaluating your prevention and intervention activities, emphasizing how evidence-based assessment enhances program impact, accountability, and sustainability. Drawing on case studies and recent research, we will demonstrate how evaluation identifies best practices, uncovers gaps in current efforts, and supports allocating resources toward services and activities that achieve measurable outcomes. Attendees will gain insights into practical evaluation frameworks, tools, and methodologies that balance rigor with feasibility, empowering organizations to refine prevention strategies, engage stakeholders, and ensure their efforts contribute meaningfully to reducing sexual violence. By integrating evaluation into prevention and intervention activities, we can move beyond intentions to deliver tangible, lasting change.
