Allyn Walker is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Moore Center for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. They earned their Ph.D. in Criminal Justice at John Jay College and the Graduate Center at the City University of New York in 2017 and their Master’s in Social Work at Columbia University in 2010, and have worked at the University of Utah, Penn State, and Old Dominion University before joining Johns Hopkins University. Their work explores the relationships between stigma, mental health, and institutional harm. They are particularly interested in violence prevention, transformative justice, and other methods of responding to harm outside of the prison industrial complex.
