Amanda Gould (she/they) is the Senior Program Manager of the National LGBTQ Institute on Intimate Partner Violence at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, a project with the core mission of improving our country’s response to the unique needs of LGBTQ survivors. Amanda has been supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence for nearly a decade, working in the field as a survivor advocate, case manager, forensic exam accompanying advocate, violence prevention educator, and support group facilitator for LGBTQ+ survivors of domestic violence. They have worked with domestic violence and sexual assault service providers on a local and national level to improve their capacity to support LGBTQ+ survivors through community-specific training, technical assistance, and changes in policies and procedures. Amanda is deeply passionate about supporting survivors from an intersectional perspective that takes into account survivors’ intersecting identities and lived experiences.
