Marlee Liss is a speaker, author, survivor advocate and lesbian Jewish feminist. She made history in North America when her personal sexual assault case became the 1st to conclude with restorative justice through the courts. This means that she fought for her rapist to go through an extensive therapy process and eventually, they met in an 8-hour restorative circle rather than proceeding to criminal trial. Since then, Marlee has shared her story and work on major platforms like Forbes, Huff Post, Buzzfeed and Mel Robbins Show. As an award-winning speaker, she’s delivered talks for: The US Military SAPRO, the National Restorative Justice Symposium, Fordham School of Law, University of Toronto, Trauma & Recovery Conference, PEI’s Sexual Assault Awareness Week and more. Marlee was 1 of 25 survivors on an elite panel for the National Action Plan to End Gender Based Violence informing federal policy and her story is currently being made into a documentary directed by Kelsey Darragh.
