Mina White (she/her) is a Research Scientist in the Injury and Violence Prevention Branch (IVPB) of the California Department of Public Health. Before joining the IVPB, Mina worked in the Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Control Section and the Refugee Health Section conducting surveillance and program evaluation in the areas of asthma, tuberculosis, and other chronic and infectious diseases. During her 16 years in the field of injury and violence prevention, Mina has worked primarily as the epidemiologist and evaluation specialist for the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) Program and has been working to shift towards community-level strategies and evaluation for violence prevention in California.
