Tanisha is currently a Program Assistant/Grant Monitor for the Rape and Sexual Assault Prevention Program at the Maryland Department of Health. Tanisha firmly believes in health equity and co-chairs MDH’s needs assessment workgroup, which helped identify populations of focus at risk of sexual violence. She provides technical assistance to rape crisis centers and colleges who implement sexual violence prevention. Tanisha previously worked at the Division of Rehabilitation Services as a Vocational Technical Specialist. In her role, she provided case management and career guidance and counseling to over 200 high school students and adults with disabilities. In addition to the Division of Rehabilitation Services, Tanisha worked as an Assistant Teacher for students receiving special education. Tanisha earned her BS in Family Science at the University of Maryland College Park and her MS in Human Services Administration at the University of Baltimore.
