Unzila Chowdhury is a nonprofit professional with over 8 years of experience serving diverse underserved communities. Currently the Development and Operations Strategist at Laal, Unzila is responsible for strategically expanding the organization, securing funding, and leading the workforce development program with a focus on supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Environmental Science with a minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and a Master’s in Non Profit Management from Antioch University. In addition to her work with the Bangladeshi community in the Bronx, Unzila is also actively involved in the intersection of clean energy and affordable housing, and has extensive experience creating workforce development programs for Native American communities and system impacted individuals.
