MenHealing provides a comprehensive menu of Peer Support Groups for male survivors as well as loved ones. This session will focus on how Peer Support Groups foster a sense of safety and belonging while reducing stigma and shame for both participants and Peer Leaders. Additional attention will explore how peer support contributes to the resilience and growth of both participants and Peer Leaders. Healing Outreach for Men Everywhere (H.O.M.E.) is a new and innovative publication from MenHealing that provides comprehensive curriculum for Peer Support Groups as well as currently being distributed to men in Correctional Facilities. The Presenters will share the evolutionary journey of both Support Groups and H.O.M.E within MenHealing’s organic and non-hierarchical organizational culture.
