To end child sexual abuse, we must focus on preventing this form of violence, rather than relying on interventions after an act of abuse has already occurred. Unfortunately, public misunderstanding about preventing the perpetration of abuse has inhibited prevention strategies and research. This session will focus on discussing the need for perpetration prevention; public misunderstanding regarding these prevention strategies; and how we can encourage increased understanding.
