Susan Wismar is a public health practitioner who has served central Ohio as a sexual violence prevention specialist since 2007. She is a Bloomberg Fellow alumni of The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has expertise in implementing comprehensive prevention strategies across the spectrum of prevention to specifically address intersectional risk factors. Her survivor advocate background informs her comprehensive approach to trauma informed interventions and primary prevention strategies. Susan co-founded SRVCS (Sexual and Relationship Violence Community Supports), an abolitionist organization giving community care through advocacy and prevention to support people who want generative solutions to violence. Susan is committed to increasing understanding of gender-based violence and empowering community members to change the systems and oppression which promote violence.
