Rebeca M. Melendez has acquired over 28 years of experience in creating, developing and implementing programs for non – profit community-based organizations, including 24 years of crisis intervention and advocacy work with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence; focusing her work largely on under resourced communities of color . Currently Rebeca oversees crisis response, advocacy, intervention, empowerment, provider education programs offered by East Los Angeles Women’s Center at LAC + USC Medical Center and The Wellness Center located at the Historical General Hospital. Rebeca is a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University and holds a Master’s degree in Humanities with a concentration in Cultural Studies.
