In this session the Mandatory Reporting is Not Neutral Project will support participants in understanding the impacts of mandatory reporting on our movement to end sexual violence by learning about the history of mandatory reporting, its current function in our programs, and addressing the illusive question “what happens when we make a report?” This workshop is intended to support participants to better understand how their role as mandated reporters can stand in tension with their commitment to supporting survivors and how organizing around this important issue can play a role in both intervening in and preventing child sexual abuse.
